Cafe Melba Review

I went to Cafe Melba at Goodman Arts Centre recently with the dogs and here's my experience.

Cafe Melba was quite nice. It was nearly empty and there was an indoor air-conditioned segment and a wide open patio with lots of seats and looking out into a big grassy field. I was having quite a nice time and the dogs were walking around freely, exploring the field and the tables. Two of the staff were also pretty nice, providing water for the dogs and stopping by to pet them.

The newly renovated Sun Ray Cafe

It's hard to find a good pet cafe and the nearest to us was actually NEX, which we didn't really like because of the food and the parking.

Sun Ray at Brighton Crescent (along Serangoon Garden Way) was another option, but it used to be small and a little dark, although the food was good.

We were glad that it was renovated recently because the place is now much much better and bigger.

Check out the new spacious interior and comfy seats

Reading Their Minds

Yesterday we attended a fundraising dinner featuring animal communicator Rosina Arquati. Funds raised will go to Noah's Ark animal Shelter.

(Rosina is seated on the far left in the video)

Although I didn't spend much time talking to Rosina, I was quite amazed at the extent people will go to to find out if their pets are happy. One girl even brought her two birds and a mouse.

Yoshi the lost retriever + animal welfare

He was a sorry sight when we saw him, walking aimlessly along Pasir Ris Park, with a worn collar hanging on his neck, looking rather scruffy and worse for wear. He had no dog tag.

The owner was nowhere to be found.

We followed him to the beach, and saw him picking up dead washed up fish from the sand and gobbling it down. Then he went for a swim in the sea.

He was definitely a vagrant dog. But where was his owner? Passers-by ignored him and Muslim families shunned him. It was a matter of time before someone called the AVA to take him away.

Zeus and his Croc

Early one morning, I was surprised to find Zeus interested in his Kyjen crocodile, a toy I bought him for Christmas, but Zeus wasn't really interested in. Maybe he managed to figure out how to make it squeak (not easy cause need to press hard).

Everything was going well until Honey sneezed..lol..

See video below.
